Following ever stricter emissions standards and the associated reduction in hazardous substances (nitrogen oxides), methods to reduce hazardous substances are in need of adjustment and improvement. One method is to cool down the exhaust gases that are partially recirculated in the combustion process by the EGR valve in order to lower the combustion temperature and thus further reduce hazardous substances. We offer OE know-how from Japan for around 40% of diesel vehicles.
